Case Story of Amma Zia
“My name is Amma Zia. I was born in Myanmar, but my memories were shaped in a refugee camp. I was too young to remember the violence, yet old enough to carry the stories of my parents and grandparents. From them, I learned what was lost but also why I must keep learning, dreaming, and speaking, so our history is never forgotten.”

Livelihood Support to Rohingya Women
The project empowered Rohingya refugee women by strengthening their skills, confidence, and leadership through livelihood support. By providing tailoring training and entrepreneurship knowledge, women gained economic independence, dignity, and a stronger voice within their families and communities, contributing to resilience and long-term sustainability in the refugee camps.
Behind every refugee student is a story of resilience, courage, and hope.
Through the Rohingya Students’ Dreams Beyond Borders initiative, young Rohingya students from the refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar are continuing to pursue education despite displacement, poverty, and limited opportunities. Their case stories reflect not only the hardships they face, but also their determination to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their community.
These inspiring students dream of becoming doctors, engineers, scientists, leaders, and advocates for positive change. With access to education, mentorship, and learning opportunities, they are proving that even in the most difficult circumstances, dreams can rise beyond borders.
The Rohingya Aid and Empowerment Network proudly shares these stories to amplify the voices of Rohingya youth and highlight the urgent need for continued educational support, scholarships, and opportunities for refugee students.
Education is not only a right—it is hope, dignity, and the foundation for a better future.
With the generous support of individual donors, the emergency response team of Rohingya Aid and Empowerment Network (RAEN) conducted an assessment to identify the most vulnerable families in the Rohingya refugee camps.
We identified 40 highly vulnerable widow-led households and distributed essential ration packages to help meet their urgent needs.
This support represents more than food assistance—it is a message of solidarity, dignity, and hope for families facing immense hardship.
Together, we can continue standing with the most vulnerable communities.
